A Minnesota man with a long and violent criminal history has been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a California model who was found tortured and stuffed inside a refrigerator in her Los Angeles apartment.
Magnus Daniel Humphrey, 41, was arrested Wednesday at his home in Hopkins, Minnesota, on an unrelated federal warrant. Police say Humphrey is the “suspect” in the gruesome murder of 31-year-old Marisa Mooney.
At the time of his arrest, Humphrey was on federal probation for drug crimes after being released from prison on February 7, according to Department of Justice records.
Humphrey has been convicted of multiple felonies in Minnesota and Illinois, including firearm charges, assault, sexual assault and false imprisonment, the newspaper said. new york post.

The coroner’s office said the model suffered blunt force injuries, lacerations, abrasions, bruises and broken ribs. The coroner’s report said the blunt force injuries themselves were likely not severe enough to cause her death and that “she was likely involved in a violent physical altercation prior to her death.” It pointed out.
Mooney worked as a model and real estate agent. She had just moved into the apartment a month before her death.
Mooney’s sister, Jourdan Paulin, previously said the slain woman was two months pregnant when she was killed.
“She was so excited. I know she really wanted kids. That’s what she always talked about,” Pauline said.
