The mother of a 12-year-old Texas boy who allegedly stabbed a woman wearing surgical gloves in her home apologized to the victim Sunday, and police said the boy has been charged with assault.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced that a 12-year-old boy was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing a 59-year-old woman multiple times on Saturday. As mentioned in X’s post.
The boy is currently being held at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, according to top police officials.
The boy allegedly committed a shocking crime, attacking a woman right in front of his 7-year-old brother, whom he had brought with him.
Gonzalez said Child Protective Services had been notified of the incident, but said the younger boy was “not legally responsible.”

But minutes later, the brothers returned wearing surgical gloves, and the older boy allegedly stabbed her multiple times, according to video and Harris County Sheriff’s Detective Sergio Torres.
She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The boys’ mother apologized to the woman on Sunday, but also said her eldest son has mental health issues.
“I’m sorry to the family. I’m so sorry that my son caused this incident,” the mother said. told the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. “And I wish you health and wellness.”
“My son, he has mental problems,” she said again.
According to police, the victim’s brother called police after arriving at the house to check on his sister’s safety.
“He came at the right time,” Torres said, according to KPRC. “When I opened her door, I saw that she had been stabbed.”
KHOU reported that the victim had a history of mental health issues, which led to other troubles and conflicts on the block.
“We’re trying to continue to be patient,” neighbor Maddie Monsalve told the station.
“It’s very frustrating, but I understand that we all have to call the police. It’s not just me, the other neighbors have to do it too. We have to be patient. do my best.”
