Montana runaway teen Alicia Navarro ex-boyfriend Eddie Davis pleads guilty to sexual abuse of children

A Montana criminal with ties to then-runaway teenager Alicia Navarro faces decades in prison after he admitted Monday to hoarding images of child sexual abuse, prosecutors said. It is said that there is a possibility.

Eddie Davis, 37, was arrested as a child more than a year after the pervert was found to have been living with Navarro, who disappeared from his Glendale, Arizona, home in 2019 when he was 14 years old. Pleaded guilty to a charge of sexual abuse.

Shortly after the then 18-year-old boy turned himself in at Havre police station in July 2023 and asked to be taken off the list of missing persons, authorities searched the apartment they shared and found incriminating evidence. did.

Law enforcement said his electronic devices contained disturbing content for people under the age of 13, including two images of children under the age of 5, according to the Montana Attorney General's Office.

The images showed computer-generated animated content in which infants, young children and other children were sexually objectified, the attorney general's office said.

The crimes Davis alleges are unrelated to Navarro, who is now 20 years old.

It's unclear how Navarro ended up marrying Davis, but Davis was identified in the indictment as Navarro's boyfriend. Acquired by KTAR last year.

Prosecutors say when Navarro answered the door leading to the search of Davis' apartment, the large pervert threw the phone in the trash and placed trash on top of it to hide it. A police officer reportedly witnessed the incident.

Investigators then examined the device and were able to arrest Davis.

After Davis' home was targeted by police, he and Navarro moved to his parents' home on a Native American reservation where drugs and sexual abuse were rampant.

Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen previously said Navarro was arrested on his way to court to change his name.

“She does not appear to have been aware of his work dealing with child sex abuse material involving children,” he said last year. “When she found out about it yesterday, she didn't seem too happy about it.''

Davis will be sentenced Dec. 16 in Hill County District Court, where the state will seek a sentence of 100 years in prison, 50 years of probation, and a 25-year parole restriction.

Navarro was reunited with his family last November, much to the relief of his mother, Jessica Nuñez.

“This has been a very difficult journey, but with a happy ending. And today, my family is complete,” she said at the time.

A representative for the family reportedly said last year that Navarro and her mother no longer live in Arizona, stressing that the family faces challenges.

Navarro's disappearance sparked a nationwide manhunt, with police noting that she “deliberately left home” days before her 15th birthday.

A missing persons report at the time listed Navarro as autistic but high functioning.
