Most Clear Satellite Images Showing India’s Attack on Pakistani Air Force Bases

New Delhi:

Recent satellite images obtained by NDTV depict considerable damage inflicted on Pakistan’s air force bases following India’s Operation Sindoah. This operation was initiated last week in response to Pakistan’s aggressive drone and missile strikes targeting Indian civilian and military areas, following tragic terrorist acts in Pahargam, Jammu and Kashmir.

High-resolution photographs from Maxar Technologies reveal the extensive damage at the Nur Khan military base in Rawalpindi, along with strikes affecting Sukkur and Rahim Yar Khan in Punjab. The imagery highlights destruction at various other Pakistani Air Force facilities, including Mushaf in Sargoda, Shahbaz Yakobabad in northern Sindh, and Borari.

During a press briefing on Operation Sindoah, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh confirmed that Indian forces executed precision strikes targeting critical infrastructure such as command centers, radar sites, and weapon storage. She noted that specific military locations, including Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, and others, were engaged with precise munitions.

Singh emphasized the operation’s focus on minimizing collateral damage. Recently, Aviation Bureau Director Ak Bharti showcased the devastation at the Nur Khan air base, located close to Islamabad, which was seen burning post-explosion. He also demonstrated footage of substantial destruction at the Rahim Yar Khan air base’s runway.

Operation Sindoah

Launched on May 7, Operation Sindoah included strikes on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as a retaliation for the Pahargam terrorist attack from April 22. This operation reportedly eliminated over 100 militants linked to various terrorist organizations.

In the aftermath, Pakistani forces retaliated with drone and missile attacks toward western India, which were successfully neutralized. Following these events, a ceasefire was reached between the two nations last Saturday, halting military engagements after several days of intense conflict.
