UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Friday that much of the aid coming into Gaza is looted amid the lawlessness of the war launched by Hamas in October.
The Israel Times report:
The UN secretary-general said “total lawlessness” and “chaos” in the Gaza Strip were preventing the distribution of humanitarian aid inside the strip and that an immediate ceasefire was needed.
“Most of the trucks carrying humanitarian supplies in Gaza have been looted because this is a war unlike other wars,” Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told reporters.
“There are attacks, there are bombings, then the forces move elsewhere,” he said. “Hamas is back to normal, Gaza is in total chaos and there is no authority in most of the territory.” He added, “Israel doesn’t even allow the so-called blue police to escort our convoys, because it’s the local police that is connected to the local administration.” [Hamas]therefore the lawlessness is complete.”
Israel has accused the UN of failing to distribute aid after it was delivered to the Gaza Strip.

Here, as in the Gaza Strip in Kerem Shalom, pallets of aid are being collected and waiting to be distributed. @united nations I contacted aid agencies for several days.

Israel has estimated in the past that 50 to 60 percent of aid trucks entering Gaza have been hijacked by Hamas.
Despite the interruption in aid flows, large amounts of aid are flowing into the Gaza Strip, helping to avert famine there, although a recent UN report found no evidence to support claims of famine in northern Gaza.
