Ms. Rachel from YouTube and Netflix Encourages Her Followers to Support Democratic Socialist Melat Kiros, Who Claimed 9/11 was 'Inevitable'

Controversy Surrounds Rachael’s Political Endorsement

Rachael, a well-known children’s content creator, is urging her followers on Instagram to support Denver Congressional candidate Melato Quiroz. This comes after Quiroz referred to the 9/11 attacks as “inevitable.”

In her Instagram Story, Rachael posted two ads advocating for an end to what she termed “genocide” in light of Israel’s invasion of Gaza.

Merat Quiroz, a democratic socialist candidate from Colorado, made headlines by claiming that terrorist attacks like 9/11 and the recent events on 10/7 were “inevitable” due to U.S. and Israeli actions in the Middle East. This statement became a talking point, as noted by various news outlets.

In a recent interview, Quiroz discussed comments he had made previously, emphasizing that attacks from groups like Hamas result from prolonged occupation and apartheid. He stressed the need to understand the conditions that lead to such violence.

Rachael faced scrutiny earlier this year when she inadvertently liked an anti-Semitic comment on her Instagram account. This incident occurred as she publicly supported Palestine, posting messages calling for the liberation of various nations. However, someone flagged that her account had liked a comment suggesting “Free America from the Jews.”

A screenshot of this incident circulated widely on social media and caught significant attention.

Upon being informed, Rachael quickly apologized. One follower reached out, pointing out the problematic comment. She responded, acknowledging the error, stating, “I hate anti-Semitism.” She also indicated that she deleted the comment promptly.

Later, Rachael reflected on this in her post, expressing that she was just “tapping and thinking.” She reiterated her stance against anti-Semitism and made it clear she would remove such comments from her platform.

After facing major backlash, she released a heartfelt apology video, emphasizing her strong opposition to anti-Semitism. In the video, Rachael explained that the like and hide actions on the comment were accidental. She mentioned her ties to the Jewish community and reiterated that she would eliminate any anti-Semitic content.

“I feel like I can’t be human online anymore,” she shared, revealing her frustration with the situation. “I’m really sorry for the confusion it caused. I’m not in agreement with anything anti-Semitic.” She acknowledged her mistakes, expressing a sense of personal accountability in navigating the online space.
