“So you’re waiting for him to make a move? Is that what you’re supporting?” Toole asked.

“Well, I think he needs to be moved. I really do,” the councilor replied.

Ture continued to push him by saying the choice between Biden and the former president was simple enough and that policy “doesn’t really matter.”

“I’ve heard that they’re waiting for Joe Biden to move to the center on some issues that he seems to have done in the past, but if you’re talking about Donald Trump’s character, it’s not a binary choice. “No? Is it a threat?” she asked. “You said he would scare the bejesus out of you. You were talking about how he was unfit for democracy. You just mentioned it, but it’s second nature. Isn’t it a choice?”

The host again tried to get him to admit that he supports Biden, saying, “I understand that it’s a binary choice and I’ll end up siding with him, but that’s wrong.” Is that so?” he asked.

Toole asked him again, “Are you one of them?” After he dodged the question, she asked, “But are you going to be on the sidelines in November?”

“Oh, I’ve never sat on the sidelines,” he retorted. “We’ll just have to wait and see.”
