Washington, DC is an interesting place.
Soon, it's a treasure chest of wealth-immersed city, a federal merchandise. The historic building is beautiful. The wide street is Parisian. It is an enclave of wealthy liberals. But it's also Sespool, where homeless people stalking the streets, and teenage carjackers running through the amok, at least in the most shady areas. Inadequate management. It's not safe. The more you walk from the White House towards the Northeastern region, the more likely you are to step on the crushed car windows on the sidewalk. But many of the residents who seem to be isolated from reality still believe in the liberal ideology that helped the city's rapid termination: the issue of black lives and all the radical criminal policies that activists have pushed since 2020.
A spokesman for Mayor Bowser confirmed that the Black Lives Matter Plaza has been renamed. Comes a day after GOP House members introduce bills to force Bowser to change their names or lose certain federal funds in DC https://t.co/bkfui5tx1j

That's why I'm so pleased that mayor Muriel Bowser will get a reality check if he's a little late. Republican Georgia Rep. Andrew Clyde has introduced a law that withholds “specific allocation funds” from DC if BLM Plaza did not change its name. Confirmed On Tuesday, the name will be Knicks and the mural will be replaced with designs by local school children. Goodbye, blm. The turbulent summer of 2020 and the signatures of race reorting and virtue have never felt farther away and more irrelevant than it is now.
Ultimately, the victory in renaming the BLM Plaza might be as free as it was meant to be placed there in the first place. Does seeing the murals erased change how the city actually governs?
Probably not. Probably not. But again, you still love to see it.
