Elon Musk Discusses Humanoid Robots with Saudi Leaders
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Elon Musk recently shared his vision of a future filled with “humanoid robots” and self-driving cars during a meeting with President Trump and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
“We showcased some of the Tesla Optimus robots to his Highness and President Trump, and they seemed quite impressed. One of the robots even did a Trump-inspired dance,” Musk commented.
“We’re really moving towards a fundamentally different world.”
The billionaire entrepreneur was seen smiling and engaging with Trump and the Crown Prince during an investment lunch in Riyadh.
Musk suggested that everyone might own a personal robot in the near future, likening them to R2-D2 from Star Wars.
Just the day prior, he had posted a video of a robot dancing on X.
The founder of Government Efficiency, who has stepped back somewhat from governmental roles, has been promoting Tesla’s robotic advancements for months, highlighting improvements in robotic software.
“The pace of improvement is impressive. We’re expecting a lot of Optimus robots this year,” Musk noted in an April post on X.
He has previously predicted that advancements in robotics could disrupt employment sectors significantly, suggesting that robots might surpass proficient human surgeons within a few years.
Moreover, Musk touched on the topic of autonomous vehicles and discussed the latest developments from his tunneling company, which is exploring methods of excavation without human involvement.
