“Trump won because of us, but we're not happy with his nomination for secretary of state,” said the Philadelphia investor, chairman of the Harris Abandonment Campaign in Pennsylvania, and president of Muslims for America. – Rabiul Chaudhry, co-founder of Trump, said:
During the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump won historic victories among Muslim voters, especially in the battleground state of Michigan.
In Dearborn, the state's largest Muslim city, Trump won 43% of the vote to Vice President Kamala Harris' 36%.
The community's anger was further fueled by President Biden's support for Israel. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, criticized by colleagues for calling for the destruction of Israel, flatly refused to endorse Harris on the campaign trail.
