National Guard helicopter crew grounded for flying low over hurricane relief depot and scattering supplies

The North Carolina National Guard Under investigation One of the helicopters was caught on video flying low over the tents of hurricane relief volunteers, scattering supplies.

The Black Hawk helicopter crew was grounded as part of the investigation.

“This actually happened on a distribution site provided by WNC. Please help me understand what I mean.”

Security officials said the crew of a UH-60 helicopter was delivering a generator Sunday when it got too close to a tent in Burnsville.

“The crew immediately assessed the situation, aborted the landing for safety reasons, and left the area,” the official said.

Officials said they were investigating the incident and were working with aid groups to “assess the extent of the damage caused by the rotor cleaning.”

The aid group United Cajun Navy tweeted about the incident and hinted it may have been intentional.

“Guys, we try hard to stay away from conspiracy territory, but some people don't make it easy. This actually happened on the distribution site we provided to WNC. Please make it meaningful,” the group posted. Video of the incident.

The message has been viewed more than 5.1 million times.

United Cajun Navy Vice President Brian Trasher confirmed the investigation in comments to Blaze News.

“We are grateful for the swift action taken by the National Guard and anxiously await the outcome of the investigation,” Trasher said.

He also appeared in “The glenn beck program,” explained what UCN knew about the incident.

Local residents in areas hardest hit by Hurricane Helen have accused the federal government of stalling aid efforts, and some have accused the federal government of interfering with private aid groups.
