Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers shared his thoughts on Donald Trump's election victory and said Americans must support the president-elect.
“Donald Trump is our president and we have to support him. We want him to do the best job for our country at the end of the day,” Rivers told reporters after Wednesday's practice. I hope you do,” he said.
“Do I like some of the things he's doing? No. But now he's got a second chance to be a better president than he was the first time, and I think he's I hope so. I really do.

Rivers is a vocal critic of Trump and an ardent supporter of Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in July. Rivers recently called Trump's Oct. 28 campaign rally at Madison Square Garden “terrible.” Mr. Rivers also appeared in several political ads supporting Ms. Harris and spoke for himself in one of the ads accusing Mr. Trump of “empty promises.” In another photo, she appeared directly next to Harris' husband Doug Emhoff.
“I know Kamala very well. It's the most involved election I've ever been involved in, and I've known Kamala for over 15 years, so a lot of it was personal.” I thought he would be a great president,” Rivers said Wednesday. “The problem is that over 65 million people disagree with me.”

Trump received more than 72 million votes in the election.
Rivers joins many of Trump's public critics, including fellow Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, San Antonio Spurs' Gregg Popovich and Dallas Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban. He is one of the NBA's celebrities.
The group has publicly acknowledged and accepted Trump's victory since Tuesday's results, despite previous partisan criticism of the president, and has encouraged other Americans to do the same.
Rivers made the comments about President Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden on October 28, when the Bucks played the Brooklyn Nets on the other side of the East River.

“If you see Madison Square Garden, come, right?” Rivers said. sports illustrated “So, for me, it's very important to vote. I'm going to get as close to that as I can. But, well, I say to people, if that guy was that great, why did 80 million people vote for him at the end?” Did you vote against ” the time he ran.
“I don't understand. I don't understand. But what we saw was terrible and we have to do something about it. Whether you're a black man, a woman, a brown person, a Latin Whether it was American Americans or Puerto Ricans or… they beat everyone. And it was terrible.”
