NBA legend Dwyane Wade roasted for repeating joke about LeBron James during Olympics broadcast: ‘His pronouns are he/him!’

Former NBA champion and player Dwyane Wade was widely mocked during Olympic basketball coverage for making the same joke multiple times at US Team star LeBron James in the same game.

The former Miami Heat guard came under fire online for consistently using “he/him” pronouns when referring to James during Sunday’s U.S. national team game against Serbia.

“Everybody knows his pronouns: he/him!” Wade said during the first half.

One of the most popular clip Later in the video, footage showed James sinking a layup in front of a raucous crowd, after which Wade said, “My fellow Americans, he is known as LeBron James. I know him personally. His pronouns are he/him.”

“Dwyane Wade needs to calm down. “After LeBron scored, he uttered the ‘he/him’ pronoun line for the third time in the game,” sportswriter Frank Michael Smith wrote for X.

But Wade wasn’t done. After the game, he tried another joke on his X account.

“You guys know the pronouns. HE/HIM” Wade I have written.

Funnily enough, this was apparently the fourth time Wade used the joke that day, and it was the final straw for fans.

“Never comment again,” says one observer Reply.

“Dwyane Wade used that joke twice. [in the] Same quarter is insanity.” Said O’Shea Jackson, actor and son of rapper Ice Cube.

“The first five times it was an L,” said another fan. It pointed out.

Even the social media manager for the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies Ridiculed Wade said he was “spamming” the jokes.

Former NFL wide receiver and controversial commentator Antonio Brown also weighed in, pointing out the fact that Wade has a transgender son.

Wade has a 16-year-old son named Zaya, who he and his wife, actress Gabrielle Union, treat like a girl.

Wade is Said He is “very proud of his daughter.” [he’s] “I had the opportunity to raise him,” he said, making the LeBron James pronoun joke seem even more personal.

“She’s been my biggest educator and taught me what it means to be true to yourself,” Wade said. Said “That’s why it’s so important to create a communal space where the community can join the conversation and express themselves freely.”

The child reportedly underwent a sex change at age 12.

Soon, Wade and her children launched a website for transgender youth called “Translatable.”

The site describes itself as “a safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth to express themselves and a resource hub for their parents, families and support systems.”

“Translatable aims to be a safe space in the community where young people can express themselves through a variety of creative outlets,” Zaya said in the launch video. “Here at Translatable, we focus on communities of color, center the most marginalized, and highlight the importance of parents and family.”

As reported by The Blaze News in April 2023, Wade revealed that he moved his family out of Florida because he opposes the state’s LGBTQ laws and says they wouldn’t feel comfortable there.
