Netanyahu informs Western leaders they are on the ‘wrong side of history’ regarding Gaza.

Netanyahu Comments on Gaza Situation

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has notably chosen not to criticize leaders from the UK, France, and Canada during current tensions. This comes after a joint statement from these countries urged Israel to halt its military actions in Gaza.

In a video released Thursday, Netanyahu asserted that Hamas is not interested in establishing a Palestinian state but seeks the destruction of Israel instead. He expressed his confusion over what he perceives as a lack of acknowledgment from leaders in Britain, France, and Canada regarding this “simple truth.” He suggested that these leaders have inadvertently supported Hamas by advocating for a Palestinian state.

Reflecting on the situation in Gaza, Netanyahu remarked, “For 18 years, we had a de facto Palestinian state. It’s called Gaza. And what did we get? We’ve faced some of the most devastating attacks against Jews since the Holocaust.”

Meanwhile, Hamas has rejected what it calls the occupation’s siege and starvation tactics against Gaza’s residents. They have reached out to several nations, including Arab and Islamic states, urging them to take decisive actions against what they describe as “wild Zionist attacks.”

Diplomatic Tensions

Netanyahu didn’t hold back in his remarks towards the leaders of the UK, France, and Canada, stating, “You are on the wrong side of humanity, and the wrong side of history.” He suggested that while these leaders might think they’re promoting peace, in reality, they may be encouraging ongoing violence from Hamas.

In response to inquiries regarding Netanyahu’s statements, officials from the Canadian Prime Minister’s office pointed to his earlier social media posts condemning the recent murders of two Israeli diplomats.

The tragic incident occurred near the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., where the diplomats were attending an event. Netanyahu condemned the attack, affirming that these individuals were targeted solely for their Jewish identity.

Sadly, the two Israeli diplomats, who had recently developed a close relationship, were set to travel to Israel soon. The office of Prime Minister Carney has not yet commented publicly regarding the event.
