Netanyahu Commends Trump Amid Iran Tensions
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described President Donald Trump as an “extraordinary leader” and a dedicated ally to Israel. This commendation came during a significant speech emphasizing the pressure posed by Iranian authorities. At the same time, Netanyahu reminded Israeli officials to deliver strong messages, extending heartfelt birthday wishes as well.
In his address on Saturday, Netanyahu stressed the pressing need for ongoing military operations by Israel, given the threats from Iranian leaders. He lauded Trump’s unwavering support, asserting, “What you’re doing now helps protect Israel’s lives from Iran’s criminal administration.” He reiterated Israel’s commitment to maintaining stability in the Middle East while safeguarding free societies against Iran’s growing hostility.
During the speech, the Prime Minister also acknowledged the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary, affirming its crucial role in promoting and protecting freedom worldwide. However, he quickly pivoted to discuss the escalating conflict with Iran, emphasizing that “by protecting ourselves, we defend others.” He argued that Israel’s defense works in favor of not just its own security but also that of its Arab allies and the United States.
Netanyahu articulated the broader objectives of Israel’s struggle and highlighted the urgent threat from Iranian ambitions. “Today, Israel is defending freedom from the Middle East,” he declared, facing off against a “tyrannical and radical Iranian regime” intent on developing nuclear weapons to destroy Israel.
He underscored Iran’s long history of hostility, referencing attempts to assassinate Trump and attacks on the U.S. embassy. “They burn the American flag and chant ‘Death to America’ repeatedly,” he reminded attendees.
Netanyahu further outlined the common threat posed by the Iranian regime, calling attention to the shared interests in Israel’s ongoing battle. “Our enemy is your enemy,” he stated. “By addressing this, we confront a danger that eventually threatens us all.”
He laid out Israel’s strategic framework for tackling Iran’s escalating threats and underscored the significant measures already taken. This includes addressing Iran’s nuclear aspirations and reinforcing Israel’s ongoing commitment to thwart attacks in neighboring regions.
“How do you plan to achieve that victory? Well, we have already achieved significant milestones. We targeted their senior military figures, including key engineers involved in developing atomic weapons,” Netanyahu explained. He acknowledged that while progress has been made, more remains to be done.
As Israeli operations against Iran intensified, Netanyahu suggested that the impact of their efforts would be profound. “We’re paving the way to Tehran,” he revealed, suggesting that the consequences for the Ayatollah regime would be unimaginable.
He also pointed out changes in Iran’s internal dynamics as a result of Israel’s military pressure. “There are signs that senior Iranian leaders are already preparing to leave. They sense what’s coming,” he said.
Netanyahu highlighted the serious implications of Iran’s nuclear ambitions. “Had we not acted, the reckless administration would have allowed nuclear weapons to fall into the hands of their terrorist proxies. This would mean nuclear terrorism on steroids, posing a threat to the entire world,” he warned.
Framing Israel’s fight as not just a national issue, Netanyahu asserted, “Our victory will be your victory.” With Trump’s clear backing and support from the American people, he expressed confidence that Israel will overcome Iran’s ambitions, stating, “With God’s help and the commitment of all free societies, we will prevail.”
