Nets ‘thank’ Bojan Bogdanovic despite NBA vet playing 0 games

The Brooklyn net had one of the strange “thank you” posts the team would do when players put them in place as Bodjan Bogdanovic was released on Thursday.

The strange part about thanking Bogdanovic is that he has never played a single game online.

The 35-year-old left Game 4 of the first-round playoffs with the Philadelphia 76ers with an injury after playing for the New York Knicks nearly a year ago.

He had surgery on his feet, but was replaced by a net of trade that landed Mikal Bridges all over town.

It was expected that Bogdanovic would return to the court at one point in Brooklyn, but complications after the first surgery now require something else.

With Bogdanovic exemptions, NETS has confirmed his 10-day contract with the former No. 7 overall pick in the NBA Draft, his agent told ESPN.

Bogdanovic is looking for a new team heading into next year's 12th NBA season. He played for six teams at this point, averaging 15.6 points while shooting 39.4% from the 3-point range.

Bogdanovic broke into the league online during the 2014-15 season and created an all-rookie NBA team.

A reliable scorer, Bogdanovic played for the Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers, Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons.

In his career, Bogdanovic averages 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per 1.7 games.
