New ‘death clock’ claims to be able to predict when you will die

You will definitely be dying to check this out.

A new artificial intelligence app claims to be able to pinpoint expiration dates with precision — all in an effort to motivate users to make healthier choices and live longer.

Those who want to receive their distressing news can pay $40 a year to download “Death Clock,” an app that asks a series of questions about a person's health and social habits and helps predict not just a year, but the exact date of their death and their current biological age.

The Death Clock app calculates mortality rates and encourages people to make healthy changes.

The aim is to sound the alarm before it's too late to make meaningful change.

“In today's world, health care is typically reactive, only intervening when there's a problem and too often it's too late,” said founder Brent Franson.

Users are told their biological age and given tips to improve their health.

“The Death Clock represents a transition to Healthcare 3.0, where individuals are empowered with comprehensive health knowledge and encouraged to actively manage their health to enjoy longer, healthier lives,” he said.

Gooltool then creates a customized “longevity plan” that includes suggested lifestyle changes and things worth sharing with your doctor.

Blood tests, genetic profiles and other personal health documents can also be uploaded to the app.

CNET's Amanda Kooser tested the app and reported that the questions it asks range from biological factors like cholesterol levels to questions about sleep and mental health, to the amount of time you spend sitting each day.

Other questions concern diet, physical activity, smoking, social life, etc.

“That, to me, is motivation to stay on the right path,” Kooser wrote when he purposely failed the quiz to see the worst possible outcome (death in 2043).
