New highway cameras in Southern California catch 100,000 speeding motorists during initial trial

A well-known beach town in California has seen a staggering number of speeders caught by newly installed speed cameras along the Pacific Coast Highway, totaling 100,000 in just under ten days since their activation.

The City of Malibu has implemented advanced speed cameras as part of its PCH Speed Safety System over a 21-mile area, with initial testing occurring from mid-August through late September.

The results were surprising, with the four speed cameras recording around 100,000 violations from September 16 to September 24, as stated by city officials
