New York-based migrant Kenhy Sarrias Buelvas busted in fatal shooting of teenager thanks to DNA sample from the US border

The 37-year-old illegal immigrant was charged Wednesday with the murder of a Bronx teenager last year, according to law enforcement.

Kenny Salis Buelvas was arrested six months after he allegedly fired on 16-year-old Kemari Sanders and fired on 16-year-old Kemari Sanders, police and sources.

Buelvas, an alleged drug dealer, is believed to have pulled the trigger as he saw the two on board and wanted to take him.

“This guy was a drug dealer. I thought they were probably looking around trying to take him, so what would he do? He kills a child who is just looking for his phone,” the source told the Post.

The teenager died of injuries more than a month later on October 4th, turning the shooting into a murder case, requiring a combo of rough old school and high-tech police work.

Early in their investigation, investigators tracked a wide range of video surveillance, led them to the laundromat, and were told that the gunman had threw his sweatshirt into a hair dryer and escaped.

The detective retrieved clothing that had been tested for any DNA.

Meanwhile, the NYPD has expanded wanted flyers that led to tips from callers who said flyers were similar to Colombians selling weeds from vans in the area.

DNA from clothing with DNA collected by the Customs and Border Patrol in Laredo, Texas, until December 23, 2013 reached a breakthrough earlier this month, sources said.

Buelvas attempted to cross the country illegally and was captured before he was released to the state, sources said.

From that day onwards, photographs of the border crossing machines were sent back to New York by the Fed.

To further strengthen their lawsuit, authorities found a traffic summon issued to gunmen in the Bronx in June 2024, and from that day they accidentally led Bodyworn footage, saying they matched the same person at the crossing of the recruiting flyer and border.

Buelvas was finally greeted by the NYPD Warrants and charged with murder, manslaughter and illegal possession of a gun.

He is believed to have worked for a Manhattan car dealership until his arrest, sources said.

The NYPD Domain Awareness System is a network where executives can find the latest information to assist in their investigations, and was a great help in solving cases.

“We see every step that led us from DNA to a transport summon, every step that puts this guy in the cuffs.
