A man from New York City with a notable criminal record has been indicted after he reportedly made online threats against Jews as well as local and federal law enforcement. Nathan White, 54, faced charges of making terroristic threats classified as a hate crime and aggravated second-degree harassment during his arraignment at Queens Supreme Court on Monday, according to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
The allegations arose from multiple threatening posts that White made on his X account back in November. One post included a striking declaration: “I’m going to kill you all, you filthy Zionists!!! I curse you all and death will soon come upon you by me!!!”
In another message, he boasted about attacking someone he identified as Israeli on a subway in New York City: “I beat SH???? From an Israeli on the New York City subway, how true is that?? Jew, SMD!!!” His hostility extended further, as he continued with threats, targeting both the NYPD and federal law enforcement, stating, “I will kill you all, MF!!!” He also claimed, “If I met another Israeli in New York alone in the dark, you would be dead, MF!!! Fact!!!”
White clearly expressed his extreme views, declaring, “Israel, Zionists and Jews must pay with their lives for their barbarian peoples, it’s a fact!!!”
His posts were later removed, and he was arrested by the NYPD on November 10 while living in a shelter, according to reports. Katz remarked on the severity of the situation, emphasizing that White’s social media activity explicitly threatened Jewish and Israeli individuals, as well as law enforcement. She noted the concerning rise in anti-Semitic incidents and recognized the importance of addressing such hate speech, which often escalates into real-world violence.
If found guilty of the most serious charge, White could face up to 15 years in prison. His next court date is set for February 19. The New York Post highlighted that White has a troubled past, including a sexual assault conviction from 1987. Since then, he has had several run-ins with law enforcement, including a notable 2015 arrest for allegedly choking a woman and robbing her of cash at an ATM.
