Some NFL owners are reportedly unhappy with the number of compensatory picks given to the San Francisco 49ers for developing minority prospects.
This rule gives teams where a minority coach or executive is hired by another team two compensatory third-round picks if the minority hire becomes head coach or general manager. . This rule has helped the 49ers quite a bit since it was introduced.
After 2020, the 49ers lost Robert Saleh, who is currently the head coach of the Jets. Martin Mayhew, now Washington’s general manager. Mike McDaniel has joined the Dolphins as head coach. Ran Carson, current Titans GM. DeMeco Ryans is currently the head coach of the Texans. And the 49ers received considerable consideration for each employee they hired.

But ESPN’s Seth Wickersham said, To tell There is some enthusiasm behind the scenes for the city of San Francisco, which has successfully put all these employee losses into compensation picks.
Wickersham did not say which teams were unhappy. But apparently some people feel the 49ers are being overrepresented as a result of this rule.

Of course, this rule was created by the same owner in the first place. Only they can change that.
Either way, the 49ers have used this rule to build themselves up.
