NFL will not look into Patriots coach Mike Vrabel regarding resort photos: report

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and NFL reporter Dianna Russini won’t face investigation from the league regarding potential breaches of the NFL’s personal conduct policy. This follows their recent appearance in a photograph together at a luxury resort in Arizona, which has sparked discussions about their relationship.

NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy informed ESPN that the league is not looking into Vrabel’s actions under the personal conduct policy aimed at ensuring integrity and public trust in the NFL.

A photo shared by the New York Post’s Page Six earlier this month depicted Vrabel and Russini in a cozy setting at an adults-only resort during an NFL meeting, showing them in swimsuits, hugging, and holding hands. This location was approximately two hours away from where the league meetings were happening.

Both parties have denied any misconduct. Russini mentioned that there were other people present that day, who weren’t included in the photo, while Vrabel characterized the captured moments as “completely innocent.”

However, recent reports have suggested that Russini collaborated with Vrabel on his response to the Post’s article. After discovering the story, she reached out to advisors, including people experienced in crisis management.

Initially, The Athletic expressed their support for Russini, but later began an investigation into her reporting, prompting her to resign. In her resignation letter, she emphasized her dedication to journalism and her past work, voicing frustration at the media narrative moving away from the facts.

Ginsburg, the executive editor at The Athletic, affirmed that their review of Russini’s situation will continue. Interestingly, her contract was set to expire in June.
