Nicki Minaj criticizes Kathy Hochul and encourages New Yorkers to support Bruce Blakeman

Nicki Minaj has set her sights on Kathy Hochul, calling the New York governor an “evil woman” and encouraging voters to choose Republican Bruce Blakeman in the upcoming gubernatorial election on November 3.

In a series of posts on X, Minaj accused Hochul of neglecting to address issues affecting innocent people and urged Black voters and Christians to turn against her.

“Kathy Hochul is an evil woman. The Democratic Party should forfeit her seat because even if she wins, she will be of great consequence to them. Downward spiral for her. She will not escape God’s wrath. She did not denounce evil when she had the chance,” Minaj expressed.

The rapper also reacted strongly to a video clip featuring Hochul’s earlier remark about Black children in the Bronx not knowing what a “computer” is. Hochul later apologized, claiming she “misspoke and regretted” her comments.

“How much more do you need to see & hear from them?!! How dare you as Black people vote for this vile wicked curse of a woman? How dare you as Christians?! She stays silent on harm being caused to the innocent & this is what she thinks of your children! Vote Blakeman!” Minaj added in another post.

Minaj further criticized Hochul for joking about visiting liquor stores while promoting a rebate initiative at a predominantly Black church. Hochul’s playful comments drew criticism, though a bishop from the church defended her remarks as being made “in context” of that day’s sermon.

In her defense, Hochul responded to Minaj’s accusations during a campaign event, suggesting that the rapper’s views were influenced, perhaps negatively, by her association with Donald Trump. “I don’t play games in this business. This is serious,” the governor stated. Hochul implied that Trump’s influence may have “poisoned” Minaj’s perspective.

Some social media users supported Hochul’s stance, asserting that voters ought to focus on her track record rather than celebrity opinions. “Exactly, that’s how you are supposed to answer,” one wrote.

Others, however, sided with Minaj, labeling Hochul’s leadership as detrimental to New York. As Minaj continues to support Trump publicly and at campaign events, she reaffirmed her loyalty to him, stating she would support him again if he ran for president.
