Trevor Noah Criticizes Nicki Minaj at Grammy Awards
During a comedy bit at the Grammy Awards, Trevor Noah targeted rapper Nicki Minaj and her endorsement of President Trump. The crowd responded with loud applause when he remarked, “Nicki Minaj isn’t here.” He then added, “She’s still in the White House discussing very important issues with Donald Trump,” adopting a mocking tone as he impersonated Trump, jokingly claiming, “Actually, Nikki, I have the biggest ass…everyone calls me Nikki.”
While the audience laughed along, Minaj clearly took offense. In a pointed response, she tweeted, “Trevor refuses to come out of the closet even though everyone in the industry knows his boyfriend. Probably.” Her post also included an image of Jay-Z.
In another message, she expressed some wild accusations: “Your favorite artists are practicing satanic rituals where they bring babies from other countries and mutilate and kill them as a form of blood sacrifice to their god.” She elaborated, “Do you all understand that these people have sacrificed children as a means to gain and maintain power? If you vote for DemonCrat again, you too will be soulless and perish just like them. Maybe it’s time for me to tell some stories – I’ve been trying not to say what I know – and yet they keep trying to bully.”
Shemeka Michelle, a Blaze TV Contributor, spoke to host Jason Whitlock on “Fearless” and expressed her support for Minaj’s rebuttal, stating that Noah’s humor didn’t resonate with her. She pointed out the Democratic Party’s efforts to control voices like Minaj’s, suggesting, “They just want to lock you into the Democratic Party. They try to ridicule and shame you when you diverge.” Michelle also shared her thoughts on the backlash against Minaj for supporting Trump: “This piece speaks volumes about the black community in general and the so-called elites.”
As for Trevor Noah, Michelle seemed to find some truth in Minaj’s remarks, mentioning, “I had no idea he was such a manly guy,” hinting that she wasn’t surprised by the accusations.
