‘Not Welcome Here’: Qatar Reportedly Expels Hamas Following Terrorist Group’s Latest Rejection Of Ceasefire Deal

According to multiple reports, Qatar is demanding that Hamas officials leave the country immediately due to dissatisfaction with the terrorist group's recent refusal to agree to a ceasefire agreement with Israel.

Hamas has rejected several ceasefire proposals jointly put forward by Israel, the United States and other Middle Eastern Arab states over the past year. Hamas recently rejected further ceasefire agreements, prompting the United States to tell Qatar, which hosts Hamas officials, that it cannot tolerate the terrorist group remaining in the country any longer. According to Reuters, Qatar relayed a message about 10 days ago warning the terrorist group to leave the country.

Israeli media reported similar revelations early Friday, but none of the reports have been confirmed by the Israeli, U.S. or Qatari governments. According to one source, Qatar has reportedly told Hamas that it is “not welcome here” said Israeli outlet KAN.

Hamas's expulsion from Qatar is the latest blow to the terrorist organization last year. Following the terrorist organization's invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023, Hamas's capabilities have been severely degraded by the Israeli military, prompting swift retaliation and sparking the ongoing war in Gaza.

Hamas political officials have maintained a long-standing presence in Qatar. The country maintains the difficult balance of being an ally of the West while also maintaining relations with America's adversaries such as Iran.

Qatar also serves as a base for ceasefire negotiations between Hamas and Israel, hosting mediators from the United States, Egypt, and Jordan.
