Records show Al-Mansouri last appeared in Maricopa County Court on Friday, two days after Mitchell made the shocking announcement that Bragg would not touch the murder suspect.

She said it was untrustworthy to keep Mr. Al-Mansouri behind bars because of Mr. Bragg’s reputation for being reluctant to commit crimes.

“We’re going to keep him here,” Mitchell said Wednesday. “Alvin Bragg, I’ve watched the Manhattan DA’s treatment of violent criminals in the New York area, and I think it’s safer to keep him here.”

According to Arizona State Police, al-Mansoori carjacked and stabbed a woman in Phoenix on February 17, and the next day he kidnapped and stabbed a McDonald’s employee near Surprise, Arizona.

That means. They are facts.”

Bragg said extradition cases are usually resolved over the phone between “professional” prosecutors, and murder cases are usually prioritized over minor crimes.
