NYC man, Jun Yan, caught with whopping 123 pounds of marijuana in Virginia

A Queens man who was stopped for speeding on an interstate in Virginia on Wednesday was caught with a whopping 123 pounds of marijuana.

According to Virginia State Police, Jun Yang of Fresh Meadows was driving on Interstate 81 when a state trooper stopped his 2024 Toyota Sienna for speeding and reckless driving at 2:17 p.m. That’s what it means.

But when officers searched Yang’s car, they quickly learned they were dealing with a much more serious crime than driving over the speed limit, and Yang agreed.

Officers found several boxes containing 123 vacuum-sealed bags of ganja inside. The estimated street value is $500,000, according to state police.

Yang, 45, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and transport more than five pounds of marijuana into the Commonwealth.

He was booked into the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Regional Jail and held without bail.
