NYPD releases photo of mystery person in scramble to solve case of abandoned baby girl stuffed in tote bag

New NYPD video shows a mysterious masked person who authorities believe abandoned a newborn baby girl stuffed inside a tote bag in front of a Bronx apartment.

Video released early Monday morning shows an unidentified person wearing a hood, wearing a black face mask and carrying a green tote bag walking down a rainy Morrisania sidewalk on Sunday morning.

According to law enforcement officials, someone called 911 after hearing the baby crying.

Officials said police spoke with the caller and later found the infant inside a discarded bag.

Paramedics took the baby to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

Police continued to track down the mysterious bag carrier on Monday.

The person in the video is seen wearing a black coat, white pants, white sneakers, and glasses or sunglasses.
