New Revelations in Trump-Russia Investigation
Former officials from the Obama administration have remained quiet amidst claims that they “fabricated” intelligence to initiate the Trump-Russia investigations. Recently, National Intelligence Director Tarsi Gabbard declassified documents asserting “overwhelming evidence” that emerged following President Barack Obama and his security team’s groundwork on the Trump-Russia conspiracy post-2016 election.
Gabbard disclosed that these officials “manufactured and politicized” intelligence to suggest that Russia interfered in the election, despite contradicting insights from the intelligence community.
Documents point to several notable figures, including Barack Obama, former National Security Director James Clapper, CIA Director John Brennan, and National Security Adviser Susan Rice, among others. Gabbard has referred these findings to the Department of Justice, though details on the referral’s targets remain unclear.
In an interview, Gabbard emphasized that this issue transcends party lines, stating, “It’s about all Americans.” She argued that the documents reveal a conspiracy at high government levels in 2016, aiming to undermine American democracy.
“This abuse of power jeopardizes the very foundations of our Democratic Republic,” Gabbard added. She insists that anyone involved be investigated and held accountable to restore public trust.
Additionally, Gabbard’s referral follows a similar action taken by CIA Director John Ratcliffe against Brennan. FBI Director Kash Patel mentioned that there are indications of misconduct regarding the Trump-Russia investigation, leading to potential criminal inquiries into both Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey. Notably, responses from the former officials have not yet been forthcoming.
