Democratic Socialist Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York released a video on Monday expressing why she refused to attend President Donald Trump's second inauguration.

“Let me be clear: I'm not celebrating rapists. So, no. I'm not going to the inauguration,” she added.
In another video, Ocasio-Cortez linked negotiations over the TikTok ban to accusations of authoritarianism against the president.
“As for people's concerns about TikTok being used as a propaganda tool by the Chinese, please understand that they are using it as a propaganda tool for the right wing,” she said. “We are on the eve of dictatorship. This is beginning to look like 21st century fascism.”
A clip of the video was posted on the X platform and quickly went viral. One version is Saw Over 14 million times.
