The church claimed that passenger Richard Miller, 35, died in the accident and died at the scene, but Edwards was taken to a local hospital in a critical condition, but is now stable and responsive.
“This worked as hard as I could believe and share, and Richard was taken home with the Lord. Pastor Edwards is in critical care. But he is steady and responsive, and there is movement in every limb,” the church post read.

On Easter Sunday, the church shared the latest news that Edwards “was “transferred from the ICU to the trauma unit” after confirmation from a neurologist that brain injury was not immediately concerned.
“Pastor Edwards suddenly woke up and expressed his desire to return to his idyllic duties, saying that he has many jobs,” the church wrote. “He reassured that all responsibility was managed in his absence. We appreciate his continued healing and loyalty.”
