Ohio woman thinks Trump-supporting license plate led to her car being targeted in reported shooting

Ohio Woman’s Car Catches Fire Following Possible Road Rage Incident

A woman in Ohio, identified as Jody, suspects that her car ignited on her way home from work this week due to a confrontation triggered by her pro-Trump license plate reading “MAGAGRL.”

On Monday night, Jody was traveling on the Ronald Reagan Cross-County Highway in Cincinnati when she heard what she believed were gunshots hitting her vehicle. This occurred after a black car with tinted windows approached aggressively from behind.

She feels her personalized plate made her a target.

“When I looked back, I saw a black car with tinted windows, and I thought, ‘Why not just speed up a bit?'” Jody recounted. “So, I pressed the gas, and then I heard a ‘pop’ and realized something had hit my car.”

“I wasn’t sure what was going on, but the driver behind was really angry,” she added.

Once they arrived home, she and her husband discovered two small dents in the rear bumper, suspecting they were struck by a small-caliber weapon.

Jody mentioned that this isn’t the first time her vehicle has faced hostility.

“I’ve dealt with people disrespecting me before. Horns blaring, people shouting obscenities, but that never really bothered me,” she said. “It’s just words. But after last night, I started to think, is it really serious that your license plate can provoke someone to the point of violence? It’s troubling that some people respond with aggression simply because of differing beliefs.”

On Tuesday, she reported the unsettling incident to the Springfield County Sheriff’s Office.

As of now, no arrests have been made in relation to the shooting, and Springfield Township Police have not provided any comments on the situation.
