Now, as part of “The Gold Zone,” Hanson has the opportunity to transport viewers to a variety of sporting events over the course of two weeks of coverage at the Paris Olympics. On Monday, things seemed to get a little too tense.

Hanson posted a photo of his bloody finger on X.

“I was pounding on my desk in the Gold Zone while the U.S. team was winning medals,” he wrote. “I was listed as ‘likely’ to return.”
