Excitement Builds for LA Soccer Fans
The countdown is on for soccer enthusiasts in Los Angeles.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to bring festive vibes right to the neighborhoods.
Organizers have set up ten official fan zones across the city for the 39 days of the tournament. So, forget about pricey tickets to SoFi Stadium. You can catch every match on large screens scattered throughout LA.
Fans have access to multi-day passes and multi-game packages in iconic locations like downtown Los Angeles and along the coast, featuring group stage games such as USA vs. Australia and Mexico vs. South Korea.
The Fan Zone isn’t just about viewing the action; it offers a full neighborhood experience with live music, food stalls, cultural flair, and family-friendly activities. This aspect really emphasizes the richness of LA’s diverse communities, complementing the excitement of the matches themselves.
Here’s where you can catch the World Cup action at some of the city’s most popular spots:
- The Original Farmers Market (June 18th to 21st)
- Downey City (June 20th)
- Los Angeles Union Station (June 25th to 28th)
- Lake Hansendam (July 2nd to 5th)
- Irvin “Magic” Johnson Park (July 4th-5th)
- Whittier Narrows (July 9th to 11th)
- Venice Beach (July 11th)
- West Harbor in San Pedro (July 14-15, July 18-19)
- Fairplex (July 14-15, July 18-19)
- Downtown Burbank (July 18th-19th)
The Fan Zones will enhance the main FIFA Fan Festival, taking place from June 11-14 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This effort aims to spread the energy of the tournament across communities in LA County.
Kathryn Schlossman, who heads the LA World Cup 26 Organizing Committee, mentioned that these zones are all about creating “an accessible and vibrant gathering place where fans can celebrate the beautiful game.”
From the beach vibe of Venice to the historic charm of Union Station and the expansive green parks in the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys, the settings are truly intended to make the World Cup feel local—not just something happening miles away in a stadium.
The FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11th and will run until July 19th. For more details, including schedules and specific ticket information for each zone, you can check out the official website dedicated to the Los Angeles World Cup 26 fan zones.
