Overwhelming majority of voters say Taylor Swift endorsement is meaningless, poll finds

A new poll suggests that pop superstar Taylor Swift's endorsement will have no impact on the voting habits of the majority of voters.

According to the ABC News/Ipsos poll, 81% of respondents said the singer's endorsement of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris would not affect their vote, while an additional 13% said the endorsement would make them less likely to support Harris.

“He also said he was in love with Swift's boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.”

Only 6% of respondents said their endorsement would make them more likely to support a Democrat in the presidential election.

Swift said abortion rights, LGBTQ rights and IVF were the main reasons she decided to support Harris over former President Donald Trump. Many other female celebrities also liked the Instagram post, including Selena Gomez, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba and Reese Witherspoon.

President Trump slammed her in a Truth Social post on Sunday, writing simply, “I hate Taylor Swift!”

Later that day, gunshots rang out while the former president was playing golf, and police arrested a man on suspicion of trying to assassinate Trump.

In February, Trump argued that Swift would never support then-Democratic candidate Joe Biden for president and would be disloyal to Trump, who had made her a lot of money by signing the Music Modernization Act. He also said he liked Swift's boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. “He may be a liberal, he probably can't stand me!”

He also said she would pay a price in the market for endorsing Harris.
