Packers and Bears coaches exchange a cold handshake following their game

The rivalry between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears intensified on Sunday as both teams fought for the NFC North title.

The Packers emerged victorious with a score of 28-21. After the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur and Bears head coach Ben Johnson shared a quick, cool handshake at midfield, which didn’t go unnoticed by onlookers.

Some fans recalled Johnson’s earlier remarks when he became the Bears’ head coach in January. “Honestly, it was kind of fun to beat Matt LaFleur twice in a year,” he said, having previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions.

In this matchup, Packers running back Josh Jacobs scored a crucial touchdown with just over three minutes left in the game. However, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams ended the game with an interception in the waning moments.

LaFleur and Johnson’s brief exchange caught the attention of many. When LaFleur returned to the locker room, he appeared quite pleased. “It was a quick handshake. We’ll see each other again in two weeks,” he remarked to reporters, downplaying any personal issues.

FOX broadcaster Tom Brady weighed in on the nature of their handshake, saying, “I think it was just as cold as the temperature.” He noted that both teams likely had plenty of material to motivate themselves this week, with coaches talking smack to each other.

With this victory, Green Bay holds the NFC North lead with a record of 9-3-1, while Chicago falls to 9-4. The two teams are set to clash again in Week 16.
