Incident During Ravens vs. Packers Game
A fan of the Green Bay Packers pushed Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zai Flowers after he executed a personal take on the Lambeau Leap. This occurred following Flowers’ 10-yard touchdown catch from Tyler Huntley in the fourth quarter, which allowed the Ravens to extend their lead to ten points. Spotting Ravens fans amid a crowd of yellow and green, Flowers jumped into the stands to celebrate.
Interestingly, as Flowers engaged with fans, a Packers supporter, sitting next to a Ravens fan, pushed him back onto the field. A security guard nearby quickly addressed the situation, but it seemed like nothing escalated from there.
This incident comes on the heels of a confrontation between a Detroit Lions fan and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf, who was caught on camera reacting aggressively to some hecklers. Following that altercation, Metcalf received a two-game suspension.
The tension surrounding the incident remains unclear—reportedly, there were derogatory remarks made toward Metcalf, although some officials, including Hwang, stated that no such comments were heard. In a related event, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson faced a fan incident at Highmark Stadium, where a spectator struck a Ravens player. Jackson responded by pushing the fan back, leading to the fan’s indefinite ban from NFL stadiums.
Meanwhile, the Ravens’ victory over the Packers on Saturday kept their playoff aspirations alive.
