Palantir CEO discusses if he has embraced 'full MAGA' before his biography launch

Palantir CEO Alex Karp Supports Trump

In a recent interview on “The Craman Countdown,” Palantir’s CEO, Alex Karp, publicly defended his backing of President Donald Trump against his critics.

“I fully support the president’s stance on border policies and national security,” Karp stated. “Those are my primary focus areas.”

Karp’s endorsement coincides with the upcoming release of a biography detailing his journey in the tech industry, showcasing how he evolved from a self-identified progressive to a staunch Trump supporter. This book, penned by journalist Michael Steinberger, delves into his transformation.

While Karp described the biography as “mostly true,” he noted that it didn’t capture everything accurately, suggesting the author might be affected by what he called “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

“I truly admire Trump,” Karp articulated, suggesting that some people see his appreciation as a sign of losing sanity. He pointed out several significant accomplishments attributed to Trump, like the peace deal signing, border security measures, and actions against Iran, calling them significant historical events.

Karp continued, expressing bafflement over why critics don’t seem to acknowledge these achievements. “For some, recognizing clear accomplishments might seem irrational,” he said.

As the first CEO from the U.S. to visit Ukraine, Karp expressed what he genuinely respects about Trump. He emphasized Palantir’s aim to foster strength to prevent war, asserting, “War is indeed a terrible thing.”

Remaining hopeful about a potential peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia, he admitted that such a resolution would come at a significant cost in human lives. “The president shows strong commitment,” Karp remarked, while also expressing admiration for the resilience of the Ukrainian people.

In political developments, President Trump recently canceled a planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin due to a lack of progress toward peace. However, the White House indicated that future discussions are still a possibility.

Additionally, Trump has enacted new sanctions on major Russian oil companies as a means of pressuring the Kremlin while avoiding further U.S. military engagement in the Ukraine conflict.
