Palestinian-Chilean Pop Star Elyanna Performs in Keffiyeh on Stephen Colbert’s ‘Late Show’

Palestinian-Chilean singer Elianna appeared on Wednesday wearing a keffiyeh, a scarf that symbolizes pro-Palestinian and Hamas support. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The performance was hosted by Stephen Colbert, a prominent supporter of President Joe Biden.

Before Eleanna took center stage, Colbert interviewed former Biden press secretary turned MSNBC host Jen Psaki, who praised Biden’s decision to threaten to end arms deliveries to Israel. and even said that such measures should have been used sooner.

It was 21-year-old Elianna’s first appearance on American television, whose full name is Elian Marji.

She sang a medley, Callin’ U (Tally Mark) and Mom, uh… The latter is “the first song performed entirely in Arabic” late show,” according to late show YouTube page.


Elianna was born and raised in her hometown of Nazaré and frequently traveled with her family to Viña del Mar, Chile.

Last year, Elianna made history by becoming the first artist to perform a full set entirely in Arabic at Coachella.
