Former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort may soon be closed to visitors, at least until the election season is over.

South Ocean Boulevard, the main road leading to President Trump’s residence, has been closed off by the US Secret Service following the July 13 assassination attempt on the former president.Number.
Palm Beach officials say the road will remain closed until at least Election Day.
At Tuesday’s city council meeting, Palm Beach Mayor Daniel Moore spoke out on the matter after being asked about the club’s current status.
“My view is that if the road is closed, the Mar-a-Lago club is closed,” Moore said. “There’s no way they’re going to let 350 people into the club. It’s completely unreasonable to let 350 strangers into the club when the road is closed.”
During Trump’s presidency, the main road leading to his residence was closed only when he was in the city.
The road is currently closed regardless of whether Trump is at home or not, with residents arguing it poses “safety concerns.”
Emergency personnel who need to get through closed roads must navigate barricades and traffic jams in congested areas near the closure.
“There’s a winding road and there are obstacles that we have to navigate,” Palm Beach Fire Rescue Chief Sean Baker said.
At a recent City Council meeting, Councillor Julie Araskog also claimed she had received numerous concerned phone calls from people claiming their neighbours “now feel unsafe.”
“Boys and girls, you can’t have both at the same time,” Moore continued. “The club is either open or it’s not.”
At this time, the Mar-a-Lago Club remains open to members and guests.
This is a developing story, check back for updates.
