Several passengers intervened after a man allegedly assaulted a woman sitting next to him on an American Airlines flight this week, footage captured by another passenger showed.
The incident occurred Wednesday on a flight from Miami to Charlotte, North Carolina.
“There was a violent incident tonight on @AmericanAir AA Flight 310 from Miami to Charlotte,” said Arjun Singh, another passenger and journalist who filmed the video posted on social media. “Several men jumped out to subdue another man in first class and got into an argument with the woman next to him. The plane landed 26 minutes early, but they couldn't get off right away.”

“Don't touch her! Get your hands off her now!” one passenger can be heard saying to the man in the video.
“If you touch her again, you'll be arrested,” he added.
A flight attendant arrived shortly after, and the woman assured her that she was fine, but agreed to move to a seat across the aisle from her alleged attacker.

After moving, the woman told the man who had accused her of assault: “You were not assaulted. I put my hand over your mouth to silence you. I did not slap you.'' “No, I put my hand over your mouth.” ”
A few minutes later, after the plane had landed, police arrived and the passenger was asked if anyone saw the police assault her. He began hearing statements from people who said they saw the attack.
The woman and her alleged attacker were escorted from the plane, the New York Post reported.
The relationship between the man and woman and whether the man was arrested are unclear.
