Pastor Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, explained what President-elect Donald Trump's mass deportation plan would entail. talk to CBN NewsRodriguez emphasized that Christians should view the complex issues of immigration and borders through a biblical lens.
“and Matthew 25 and Leviticus 19it should be a lens of compassion and the rule of law,” he said while saying: Romans 13. “Governments must follow laws designed to protect our freedoms, our rights, and the safety of our families and homes.”
“Now, 15 to 20 million illegal immigration cases,” Rodriguez continued. No country in human history has ever allowed more than 10 million illegal immigrants to enter our country without knowing who we are. ”
The preacher also noted that the large influx of illegal immigrants has led to dangerous people crossing the border and reports of missing children. face wire I will report it.
“We have lost 300,000 children… there are 300,000 children missing,” Rodriguez said. “We have no idea where they are.”
“Unfortunately, we know from the data and from history…it breaks my heart to even say this. Many of these people are probably being sex trafficked as we speak. There will be,” he said.
Considering these factors, Rodriguez said Christians should protect the United States' status as a “sovereign nation” while also recognizing the importance of immigration in the country's fabric.
Rodriguez also predicted that “mass deportations” will occur after President Trump takes office in January. While some Christians may be concerned about how deportations will be carried out, Rodriguez believes the government will primarily “go after the criminals.”
“They will go after those associated with gangs, rapists, murderers and drug traffickers,” he said. “They're going to go after any illegal immigrant who's involved in nefarious activities in the United States. Those are the very criminals they're going after.”
Rodriguez added that single men who recently entered the country are also targeted. The pastor also cited concerns that the government would target “families.” [who] I've been here for 25 years. ”
“That's not going to happen,” he said. “And this is Sam Rodriguez. I'm speaking on behalf of Sam Rodriguez here. So I'm not officially speaking on behalf of the transition team or anything like that.”
“There will be an attempt with Congress to find a path to integration, not citizenship. At the end of the day, I believe that people who entered the country illegally will never receive citizenship, and I That’s fine,” Rodriguez continued.
He says he agrees with this approach because these people broke the law. Rodriguez, on the other hand, believes that individuals who raise children in America, are hardworking, and do not rely on the government for their livelihood should be able to find a place in this country.
“We're going to find a way to get you a green card so you never have to worry about living in the shadows again,” Rodriguez said. “And that's the right way.”
In an interview, Rodriguez talked about how more Latinos voted for Trump this year than in the previous two election cycles.
“That's 46 percent of the general Latino population,” he noted. “This is far beyond anything we've seen in 250 years of American history.”
The preacher believes the reason for this change is that the Democratic Party is alienating Latinos with its policies and worldview.
“This is Marxism,” he said. “It's socialism. It's coming after our children… that crazy, ridiculous obsession with Drag Queen Story Hour. Stop sexualizing our children. Take our hands off our children. Let go. Latinos are very pro-family…so when you start chasing our kids, you're like, “Hey, hey, it's over. You're chasing God. So you're restricting our God, our faith, and my religious expression, and yet you're coming after my children?”
