Patriot rescues fragment of Old Glory as pro-Hamas agitators burn American flag

An unnamed patriot reached into a smoldering pile of fire on Wednesday to rescue an American flag that had been set ablaze by pro-Hamas agitators.

The man, who asked not to be named, managed to salvage the fragment of the American flag and told local reporters who documented the incident that he is a lawyer who works near Union Station in Washington, D.C., where the anti-Israel protest took place.

In a video filmed by Richie McGinnis and shared on X, a man is seen crouching in flames and grabbing a piece of the burning flag with his bare hands.

An angry crowd chased the unnamed man holding the burnt flag, chanting “Get him!” and beating drums.
