Pennsylvania police searching for thieves caught-on-camera swiping American flags

Pennsylvania State Police are searching for three suspects who were arrested on suspicion of stealing American flags in a suburban area.

The Macungie Police Department posted about the incident on Facebook on Saturday. Police posted surveillance footage of the three suspects walking down the road carrying the stolen flag.

“The Macungie Police Department is seeking information and the identities of the two men and women seen in the video,” the post reads. “They were last seen in the Lee Street area stealing American flags from several residences.”

Video shows the three suspects walking down the street early Saturday morning. The video sparked angry reactions in the post’s comments section.

“Once they are caught, they should be asked to go to each house, replace the flags, and apologize to the homeowners,” one person wrote. “You don’t have to make mom and dad buy a flag. If you commit a crime, you can take the time to repair or replace the damaged one.”

Another Facebook user countered: “Maybe they stole the flag because they were taught to hate America.”
