Another person died after falling from the stadium stands during Ohio State University’s graduation ceremony on Sunday.
According to the Columbus Dispatch, around 12:30 p.m., an officer called for help over the OSU police radio, saying, “Medics and several officers needed at Gate 30.” [of Ohio Stadium]…I even fell off the stadium. ”
Medics pronounced the person dead at 12:25 p.m. WSBN TV report. It is unclear whether the anonymous person was a student at the university or what caused him to fall several floors to his death.
OSU spokesman Ben Johnson told the newspaper: “Someone fell from the stands. He was killed.” “We have no additional details to share at this time. Police and emergency responders are on scene. Counseling and other support resources will be made available to anyone affected by today’s incident.”
