On Sunday, Peter Doocy, a senior White House correspondent for Fox News, announced that he and his wife, Hilary Vaughn, are expecting their third child.
He shared this joyful update during the “Sunday Briefing” segment.
“And finally, some family news,” Doocy remarked.
“I have two kids at home…well, here’s a Fox News alert, another one on the way,” he continued, noting the news was accompanied by a picture showcasing their growing family.
“My wife Hilary is pregnant,” he added.
“She’s due on my dad’s birthday, so it looks like we have a big party for five coming up. This little one will arrive just in time for the upcoming segments of Sunday Briefing.”
The excited grandfather co-hosts “Fox & Friends,” while Hilary Vaughn is a former correspondent for Fox Business Network.
The new baby will join siblings Bridget Blake Doocy, born in February 2023, and George Jack Doocy, born in April of last year.
Doocy mentioned that their third child is expected on Steve Doocy’s birthday—his father. The family relationship is clearly significant, as he highlighted a cherished family photo.
Peter Doocy, who married Hilary in April 2021, met her at Fox, and they’ve largely kept their personal lives under wraps.
The couple first announced they were expecting during a September 2022 appearance on “Fox & Friends.” After welcoming George, Vaughn shared that expanding their family brought even more joy to their lives.
“We were so happy to welcome our son into the world, and it’s just as special to see Bridget welcoming her baby brother George,” she said in an interview.
“Expanding our family means giving our children a lifelong best friend. As we await this new arrival, our home, and hearts are filling with even more love.”
