PGA Tour winner saves restaurant worker’s life administering CPR in Malaysia

This week, two-time PGA Tour winner Sunmoon Bae will compete in the IRS Prima Malaysian Open outside Kuala Lumpur.

But before the tournament began, Bae performed a miracle. save a life of restaurant employees, according to the PGA of Korea. Bae performed CPR on the employee, who was unconscious on the floor.

Kim Young-soo and several other people dined with Bae. Kim explained this heroic act to the Korean PGA.

“At the time, people were gathered around the unconscious employee,” Kim said.

Sang-moon said, “I can’t leave him alone,” and immediately performed CPR. Then the employee woke up. “Thanks to Sang-moon’s busy work, we were able to save a precious life.”

The employee soon regained consciousness after Bae performed CPR.

It’s unclear how the restaurant employee lost consciousness, but whatever happened, Bae acted like a good Samaritan and saved the man’s life in distress.

The incident occurred on the eve of the first round of the IRS Prima Malaysian Open, the opening round of the 2024 Asian Tour season.

Pee played well In the opening round, he hit 17 of 18 greens and shot a 1-under 70. But just like Scottie Scheffler at the Genesis Invitational, his putter let him down badly. He made 34 putts on the first day.

And on Friday, with some help from his putter, Bae shot a 4-under 67. The Korean made 30 putts in the second round and finished 36 holes at 5 under. He heads into the weekend with an eight-stroke lead over leaders Kevin Yuan (Australia) and Havis Baladan (Malaysia).

Certainly, Bae will be happy to be able to play in the opening game of the 2024 season. However, the restaurant worker who almost lost his life benefited even more from Bae’s presence. Perhaps Bae’s good deeds will lead to success on the course.
