This phone case takes unbreakability to a new level.
An Oregon man was stunned to discover his Apple iPhone survived a 16,000-foot fall to the ground from an Alaska Airlines plane earlier this month. But what was even more shocking was that the device was completely undamaged.
“I found my iPhone on the side of the road… still in airplane mode and half battery, but #AlaskaAirlines ASA128 baggage claim is open,” Sean Bates I wrote to Xwhere he posted an image of an almost perfectly preserved cell phone.
“Survived a 16,000 foot fall completely unscathed!” he added.
Now, the exact smartphone case that saved a smartphone from being damaged when it flew off a plane when a door plug blew off has been revealed.

Smartphone case manufacturing company Spigen shared a reply to Bates' original message “Mystery solved: it was us,” he wrote in a text and photo, confirming that the incident took place over the phone.
Spigen said the exact case is a cryo-armor case. sold for $65 You can buy it on the manufacturer's website and on Amazon for just $25.
The brand says the case features “military-approved drop protection with air cushion technology,” which explains why the iPhone was able to withstand a drop from 16,000 feet. It is said that there is a possibility that it will happen.
The phone was one of two discovered on January 5 after a door plug inside an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-9 MAX aircraft broke during flight, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing. Since the incident, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has grounded Boeing 737 Max 9 aircraft for inspection.
But Spigen fans are relieved to know that their phones will be safe even in the event of an apocalypse.
“As a lifelong and satisfied Spigen user, I'm happy to hear that my phone is safe even if I fall out of a plane,” one fan shared on X.

“The best advertising is the one that's unintentional,” another fan added, referring to the “Stanley Cup that still had ice in the car that was on fire.”
Some people bought cases knowing that they could protect their smartphones from drops from the sky. “Bought a red Cryo Armor case! #Influenced,” they wrote.
