Planet Fitness member arrested after going to ladies’ locker room claiming he identified as a woman

A Planet Fitness member in North Carolina allegedly entered the gym’s women’s locker room, stripped naked and claimed to be a woman, according to police and a 911 caller.

Christopher Miller, 38, was arrested last Thursday on indecent assault charges and booked into the Gaston County Jail, where he was identified as a male in the online inmate entry. His mugshot showed the suspect with a light-colored beard and mustache.

Miller was arrested on the felony charge after a woman at Gastonia Planet Fitness called 911 to report a naked man in the women’s locker room. WSOC-TV reported.

“He’s a man, but he claims to be a woman and won’t come out of the bathroom,” the 911 caller told emergency personnel. “But he just walks around showing himself to us and he doesn’t want to leave.”

“So he’s naked?” the dispatcher asked.

“He’s completely naked,” the caller said.

“I think women should be able to go into the women’s restroom even if the man doesn’t come in because he’s transgender,” said gym-goer Betty Blythe. planet fitness

Sources told the outlet that Miller allegedly applied lotion to a female gym member in the locker room and asked her to take a shower with him.

Planet Fitness allows members to use restrooms and locker rooms based on their self-declared gender identity, but Miller identified herself as a transgender woman before entering the women’s locker room. There was no evidence that it had happened.

“I think women should be able to go into the women’s restroom even if the man doesn’t come in because he’s transgender,” said gym-goer Betty Blythe.

Mr. Miller was held on $25,000 bail.
