Planned Parenthood is offering more than free T-shirts and stickers at this week’s Democratic National Convention: The organization will offer free vasectomies, medication abortions and emergency contraception.
Planned Parenthood Federation of Great Rivers in St. Louis announced in a post on X that it will be sending buses to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Aug. 19 and 20 to offer free services.
“Here we come, Chicago! Our mobile clinic will be in the West Loop on August 19th & 20th with @ChiAbortionFund and @TheWienerCircle providing free vasectomies and medication abortions,” the post read. “Emergency contraception will also be available at no cost, with no appointment needed.”
The Trump-endorsed Republican platform’s soft language on abortion has irked some social conservatives.

The Planned Parenthood office noted that there is a waiting list for vasectomies during the convention.

Democrats have made abortion a central theme of their national campaign this year, while Republicans Parliamentary control, It would mean a nationwide ban that comes in line with former President Trump remaining in the White House for another four years.
Since the overturning of Roe v. Wade and Vice President Kamala Harris taking over for President Biden, Democrats have doubled down on their rhetoric about a woman’s right to choose.

a Quinnipiac University Poll The report, released in April, revealed information about Americans’ views on abortion that may surprise voters.
The poll finds that a record number of Americans (66%) now support legalizing abortion in some or all cases, the highest level of support ever recorded in the poll’s 20-year history.
A majority (34%) said abortion should be legal in all circumstances, while 32% said it should be legal in most circumstances.

The emphasis on abortion in the upcoming election has led President Trump to soften his stance on this key issue.
Ahead of the Republican National Convention, President Trump held a private meeting to draft the Republican Party’s platform, softening his party’s once-strong stance on abortion.
“We believe that the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees that no person shall be denied life or liberty without due process, and therefore states are free to enact laws to protect those rights,” the draft states.

But for the first time in 40 years, the document makes no mention of a federal abortion ban, something the Republican presidential nominee has made a point of opposing.
Instead, the new platform emphasizes that “while we oppose late-term abortion, we support mothers and policies that promote prenatal care, access to contraception, and in vitro fertilization (IVF).”

The party’s stance has drawn criticism from some pro-life groups, including the Family Research Council, whose president Tony Perkins expressed concern that the party was moving away from its policy of “protecting children from the moment of conception”.
“I am concerned that the Republican Party is moving away from a strong and clear goal: protecting children from the moment of conception,” Perkins said in a social media post.
Planned Parenthood, the Democratic National Committee and the Harris campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s requests for comment.
